The Still Studio is home to a collection of handmade ceramics, natural materials and thoughtfully chosen homewares. Rooted in craftsmanship and an appreciation for simplicity, we believe the objects we surround ourselves with should be both beautiful and useful, made to be enjoyed every day and treasured for years to come.

In the midst of busy lives, we find joy in the small rituals of everyday living. Through The Still Studio, we hope to encourage a slower pace, an appreciation for the little things and finding beauty in the ordinary.

A slower way to Live.

A study in form & Texture

At the heart of The Still Studio is our pottery practice, where our team of experienced potters brings together traditional craftsmanship, refined techniques and a deep appreciation for natural materials. Inspired by the rich traditions of Japanese pottery, we embrace the values of simplicity, patience and attention to detail, while drawing on the natural beauty of our own New Zealand landscape.

We strive for precision in every form, while appreciating the organic textures and subtle imperfections when working with clay. Often gathering wild clay, sand and other natural materials from across New Zealand, we bring a sense of place and connection to the land into our work.

Our intention is to create pottery that balances refinement with natural beauty — pieces made to be used, appreciated and enjoyed for years to come.

We hope to bring a sense of calm to everyday life through the objects we surround ourselves with. From the morning cup of tea to the rituals of gathering, cooking and resting, our collection celebrates the beauty found in ordinary moments.

Each piece is chosen for its natural beauty, purpose and timeless appeal. Beautiful in its simplicity, made to be used, appreciated and lived with for years to come.
